I thought the video today was a little strange but I was happy to see it. I miss all the non-crossfit articles that used to get posted. So many of them I would not have read or seen had I not been religiously visiting the main site, and I felt that they represented a holistic mind and body view of fitness, into mental as well as physical dimensions.

I really am interested in the different data being gathered from CrossFit athletes. The science is proving what we as CrossFitters already know so far, but who knows what we might learn as the research continues! Also, I love to see one of my favorite CrossFitters, Julie Foucher, in action.

I did a scaled version of "Murph" yesterday:

1 mile run
20 banded pull ups, 55 ring rows
150 regular chest-to-ground push ups
200 squats
1 mile run

Time of 46:11

Thanks for the flower video. I miss the arts and music (and even political) links.

Really interesting research being done. I think I speak for many of us when I say can we see the completed research as an article in the Journal. Pretty, Please

Way out of synch with WODs -
Did 10,000 lbs of thrusters in 19:33 today
100lb X 100 reps

Very cool research! Thanks for sharing this series with us.

Julie Foucher is awesome! Good luck with your school this year Julie, looking forward to great things from you!

I agree with Jon Z. The non CrossFit related posts on rest days -- the occasional poem, editorial, music, etc. -- were terrific (including today's flower book), and suggested to me that Pukie had an expansive and humane view of fitness that encompassed total wellness, body and mind.

Rx'ed 10:28
Limited on squat to what I can clean, 100#, due to no squat rack. Shoulders still fatigued from earlier workouts this week.
